Pembrokeshire County Show 2009
With no-one but Russell having had experience of showing cattle & eggs it was pure excitement preparing for the County Show & 4 very tiring days at the show

Our 2 Longhorn Heifers - Slebech Hispi & Linton Holly - safely ensconced on a comfy bed for the next 3 days

Russell ties Hispi ready for her beauty treatment

Gareth's new career as Bovine Beautician

Tittifying continues as Jules works on tails. We're not sure what Gareth was contemplating at this time

Russell settles Holly down & checks she is standing correctly before the judge approaches

Gareth & Hispi's first time in a cattle showring

Judge Philip Clelland approaches the newbies

At fifth & sixth in the lineup the art of showing continues

Even though they didn't match we took the heifers into the ring for the Native Heifer Pairs competition. We knew we wouldn't get higher than third (last!) place.

Taking it casual in third place in the heifer pairs competition

How you would have seen Hispi, Gareth & Russell in the local newspapers

Second prize for our Single Tinted Bantam Egg

Third prize for our Plate of Three Tinted Bantam Eggs

Kathy exits the ring after showing another competitor's calf

A deserved rest
Being dragged around a ring by a calf proves too much

"Who me, officer?"
Paul is taken short having queued for hours to get out of the showground
