Den Making
Making Dens in Mount Wood.
An opportunity to practice woodland den building in a beautiful setting.
All materials supplied for you to make your perfect den.
Event starts at 12.30 from the Acorns Resource Centre on the Mount Estate, but if you are late just ask your way to the wood! A barbeque in the woodland roundhouse using the Mount Farm's own beef burgers and sausages will keep everyone fed. Open to all (over 8).
A Sunday Evening Bat Walk with ultrasonic bat detectors.
Join us with Mary Chadwick from 'Pembrokeshire Bat Group' on this guided event around 'Mount Wood' (generally known as Castle Pill Wood).
Starting point and parking at the corner of Lilac Close/Woodland Drive.
Open to Everyone.
You may need to bring a torch.

Build a Bird by the Pond
The Woodlands has a new Bird Hide. An official opening, with Paul Davies AM, will take place on 10 August 2010.
Those under 8 years of age, accompanied by an adult, can help in a guided activity to build a BIG BIRD which won't fly away!
Come along from 12.30. We'll have sausages & beefburgers for your lunch

The Woodlands are open to all. Take a stroll to the shore at Castle Pill. Take a rest in one of the Roundhouses. Above all, savour the peace & tranquility.
At the Farm Gardens you could chat about compost, stroke some pigs, learn how one of Britain's oldest breeds of cattle has been saved from extinction or even grab a fork & do some digging and planting
